Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team nip the host Riverwood Raiders (Sandy Springs, GA), 22-18 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Sequoyah advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Beach (Savannah, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 31. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Raiders now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Creekview for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. Riverwood will play a Grizzlies team coming off a 29-0 non-league win over Lassiter (Marietta, GA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 1-0.
