The Sterling Tigers softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Holyoke Dragons to 4 in the Tigers non-league win on Thursday.
The Tigers now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host University for a 3A Patriot battle on Tuesday, September 3. Sterling will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Limon (Limon, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Holyoke moves to 0-5 on the season. The Dragons host Chase County (Imperial, NE) to confront the Longhorns in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 3. The Longhorns come into the battle with a record of 0-2. Chase County lost 14-0 in their recent non-league battle against McCook (McCook, NE)
