The Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) volleyball held off the visiting Concord Spiders (Concord, NC), 3-2 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Bulldogs now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to South Stanly for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A bout on Tuesday, September 3. Albemarle will clash with a Rowdy Rebel Bulls team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Concord drops to 1-8 on the campaign. The Spiders host Carson (China Grove, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a South Piedmont 3A bout on Tuesday, September 3. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Carson won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against North Stanly (New London, NC)
