Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Moon Valley Rockets (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ), observed Moon Valley's volleyball team top Apollo by a tally of 3-0.
The Rockets (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's (Phoenix, AZ). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
Next, the Hawks meet the Kofa Kings (Yuma, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 3. Apollo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Kings enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Yuma (Yuma, AZ).
