The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Academy at Palumbo (Philadelphia, PA). The Griffin come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record.

Next, the Cougars play the Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA) in a Central challenge, on Wednesday, September 4. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Fightin' Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Phoenixville (Phoenixville, PA).
