The Carlynton Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Fort Cherry Rangers to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they host South Allegheny for a WPIAL 2A 2 outing on Tuesday, September 3. Carlynton will play a Gladiators team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Belle Vernon (Belle Vernon, PA). The Gladiators record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Fort Cherry drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 3. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 1-0. Bethlehem Center won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Charleroi (Charleroi, PA)
