In Thursday's non-league match, the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Cesar Chavez Champions (Laveen, AZ), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Mountain Lions battle the Rincon/University Rangers (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 3. Mountain Ridge will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Rangers enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Buena (Sierra Vista, AZ).
