In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Chattanooga Christian Chargers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Signal Mountain Eagles.

The Chargers (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Silverdale Academy (Chattanooga, TN). The Seahawks come into the non-league challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Silverdale Academy edged Grace Baptist Academy (Chattanooga, TN), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Sequatchie County Indians (Dunlap, TN) in a AA District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Signal Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Hixson (Hixson, TN).
