California High School Volleyball - Norwalk edged by Mayfair

Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Norwalk Lancers (Norwalk, CA), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Mayfair improves its record to 6-3 on the season. The Monsoons travel to Valley Christian (Cerritos, CA) to encounter the Defenders in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. The Defenders go into the test with a record of 8-2. Valley Christian won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA)

The Lancers now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Firebaugh for a non-league test on Monday, September 2. Norwalk will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Hawthorne Math & Science Academy (Hawthorne, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 6-2.
