Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA), 37-10 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Abington Heights advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Comets host Dallas (Dallas, PA) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 6. The Mountaineers go into the battle with a record of 0-2. Dallas lost 27-20 in their recent non-league battle against Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA)
The Invaders now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hazleton Area for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. West Scranton will play a Cougars team coming off a 28-7 non-league loss to Williamsport (Williamsport, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
