The Minden Whippets were victorious over the visiting Adams Central Patriots football team by a score of 44-22 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Whippets face the Sidney Red Raiders (Sidney, NE) in a non-league outing, on Friday, September 5. Minden will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Red Raiders come into the outing with a 1-0 record after their 35-0 non-league win over Cozad (Cozad, NE).

With the defeat, Adams Central drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Lakeview (Columbus, NE) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. The Vikings come into the outing with a record of 1-0. Lakeview won 38-9 in their recent non-league outing against Gross Catholic (Omaha, NE)
