ALA - Mesa North Mavericks (Mesa, AZ) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Arete Prep CHARGERS (Gilbert, AZ), 35-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, ALA - Mesa North improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, AZ) to play the Knights in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Gilbert Christian won 28-20 in their recent non-league match against Sabino (Tucson, AZ)

Coming up next, the CHARGERS meet the Odyssey Institute Minotaur (Buckeye, AZ) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Arete Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Minotaur come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 13-12 non-league win over Winslow (Winslow, AZ).
