The Alameda Hornets felled the host De Anza Dons football squad by a count of 35-19 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hornets now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Concord for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Alameda will face a Bears team coming off a 35-26 non-league win over Newark Memorial (Newark, CA). The Bears record now stands at 1-0.
The Dons (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mission (San Francisco, CA). The Bears enter the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
