    The Aliquippa Quips overwhelmed the host Belle Vernon Leopards football squad by a count of 42-7 in Friday's non-league test.

    The Quips now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Avonworth for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Aliquippa will meet a Antelopes squad coming off a 37-7 non-league win over West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA). The Antelopes record now stands at 2-0.

    With the defeat, Belle Vernon drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Central Valley (Monaca, PA) to face the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Central Valley lost 37-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA)
