Alabama High School Football - Beauregard loses to Anniston

August 29, 2025: Opelika, AL 36804

Anniston Bulldogs (Anniston, AL) boosters were happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad topple the host Beauregard Hornets (Opelika, AL), 28-15 in a non-league match.

The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Ashville (Ashville, AL). The Bulldogs enter the 4A Region 6 match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Ashville thwarted Springville (Springville, AL), 27-21, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Hornets confront the Marbury Bulldogs (Marbury, AL) in a 5A Region 4 match, on Friday, September 5. Beauregard will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 41-19 non-league loss to Bayside Academy (Daphne, AL).
