North Carolina High School Football - Montgomery Central beat Anson

August 29, 2025: Wadesboro, NC 28170

The Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) football were winner over the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), 38-16 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Timberwolves now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host North Stanly for a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. Montgomery Central will clash with a Comets squad coming off a 21-14 non-league win over West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Comets record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Anson drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to clash with the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the outing with a record of 1-1. South Stanly lost 33-27 in their recent non-league outing against Piedmont (Monroe, NC)
