The Chieftains (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Cornerstone (Joplin, MO). The Spartans come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Cornerstone was beaten by Welch (Welch, OK), 24-12, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Mustangs confront the Canadian Cougars (Canadian, OK) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Arkoma will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 33-6 non-league win over Elk City (Elk City, OK).
