Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), 54-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Ashbrook improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Greenwave travel to Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to meet the Trojans in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 2-0. Northwest Cabarrus won 27-21 in their recent non-league test against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC)

With the defeat, Berry drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC) to meet the Ravens in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Ravens come into the test with a record of 0-2. Rocky River lost 35-20 in their recent non-league test against Cox Mill (Concord, NC)
