The Thunderbirds now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rhinelander for a Great Northern game on Friday, September 5. Lakeland will battle a Hodags team coming off a 34-22 non-league win over Hayward/Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI). The Hodags record now stands at 1-1.

The Oredockers (1-1) will now prepare for their game against St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI). The Saints enter the Heart O'North game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, St. Croix Falls fell by Grantsburg (Grantsburg, WI), 46-30, in a non-league game.
