    In Friday's non-league game, the Atascadero Greyhounds (Atascadero, CA) football team edged the host North Stars (Bakersfield, CA), by a tally of 22-20.

    In their next game, the Greyhounds battle the Roosevelt Rough Riders (Fresno, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 5. Atascadero will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Rough Riders enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 40-13 non-league win over Corcoran (Corcoran, CA).
