The Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE) football tipped the visiting Aurora Huskies (Aurora, NE), 27-21 in Friday's non-league bout.

With the win, Pierce advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bluejays travel to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (Hooper, NE) to encounter the in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. The go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder lost 14-0 in their recent non-league bout against West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE)

The Huskies now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host McCook for a non-league contest on Friday, September 5. Aurora will battle a Bison squad coming off a 41-15 non-league win over Beatrice (Beatrice, NE). The Bison record now stands at 1-0.
