Omaha Central Eagles (Omaha, NE) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE), 29-28 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Omaha Central advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Omaha South (Omaha, NE) to play the Packers in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Packers go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Omaha South lost 52-0 in their recent non-league battle against Westview (Omaha, NE)

The Thunderbirds now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elkhorn South for a non-league match on Friday, September 5. Bellevue West will confront a Storm squad coming off a 30-7 non-league win over Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE). The Storm record now stands at 1-0.
