Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL), 18-8 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Benet Academy improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Redwings travel to Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-0. Glenbard North won 38-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Bartlett (Bartlett, IL)

The Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL). The Broncos go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Montini Catholic toppled Lumen Christi Catholic (Jackson, MI), 20-16, in a non-league challenge.
