The Volunteers (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Jackson Academy (Jackson, AL). The Eagles come into the AISA AA Region 2 match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Jackson Academy was routed by Southern Academy (Greensboro, AL), 54-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Rebels meet the Banks Academy Jets (Birmingham, AL) in a AISA AAA Region 1 challenge, on Friday, September 5. Bessemer Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Jets go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 56-24 non-league loss to South Choctaw Academy (Toxey, AL).
