The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Briggs Bruins (Columbus, OH) and the host Mifflin Punchers (Columbus, OH), witnessed Briggs's football squad knock off Mifflin by a tally of 32-8.

The Bruins (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Whetstone (Columbus, OH). The Braves enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Whetstone was toppled by Grandview Heights (Columbus, OH), 53-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Punchers battle the Bexley Lions (Columbus, OH) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 5. Mifflin will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 14-3 non-league win over Worthington Christian (Worthington, OH).
