Broken Bow Savages (Broken Bow, OK) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting McAlester Buffaloes (McAlester, OK), 23-20 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Broken Bow improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Savages host Durant (Durant, OK) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Durant lost 31-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Ada (Ada, OK)
The Buffaloes (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Poteau (Poteau, OK). The Pirates go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Poteau nipped Booneville (Booneville, AR), 28-0, in a non-league challenge.
