North Carolina High School Football - Seventy-First tops Cape Fear

August 29, 2025: Fayetteville, NC 28304

The Seventy-First Falcons football squad scored 22 points and limited the visiting Cape Fear Colts to 8 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pine Forest for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Seventy-First will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 42-7 non-league loss to Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 0-2.

The Colts (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Buccaneers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Jack Britt lost by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 44-40, in a non-league challenge.
