North Carolina High School Football - Northwest Cabarrus nudges Central Cabarrus

August 29, 2025: Concord, NC 28025

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Northwest Cabarrus Trojans football squad scored a close 27-21 triumph over the Central Cabarrus Vikings.

The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Greenwave come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Ashbrook tipped Berry (Charlotte, NC), 54-7, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Vikings play the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 5. Central Cabarrus will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 35-32 non-league loss to Carson (China Grove, NC).
