The Central Valley Cougars football squad scored 44 points and limited the host Riverside Chargers to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Holt for a non-league game on Friday, September 5. Central Valley will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 12-6 non-league loss to Elkhorn Valley (Tilden, NE). The Huskies record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Riverside drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Twin Loup (Sargent, NE) to clash with the Wolves in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. The Wolves come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Twin Loup lost 18-13 in their recent non-league game against St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE)
