In Friday's non-league game, the Columbus Blue Devils (Columbus, GA) football team edged the visiting Randolph-Clay Red Devils (Cuthbert, GA), by a tally of 17-14.

The Blue Devils now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Jordan for a AA Region 1 outing on Friday, September 12.

With the defeat, Randolph-Clay falls to 0-1 on the year. The Red devils travel to Calhoun County (Edison, GA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league contest on Friday, September 12. The Cougars enter the contest with a record of 0-1. Calhoun County lost 21-14 in their recent non-league contest against Greenville (Greenville, GA)
