Texas High School Football - Edgewood sneaks past Commerce

August 29, 2025: Commerce, TX 75429

The Edgewood Bulldogs football squad scored 55 points and limited the host Commerce Tigers to 49 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Troup for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Edgewood will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 56-14 non-league win over Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Commerce drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX) to meet the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-1. Blue Ridge lost 30-27 in their recent non-league test against Farmersville (Farmersville, TX)
