In Friday's non-league game, the Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD) football team triumphed over the visiting Custer Wildcats (Custer, SD), by a margin of 53-3.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Milbank for a Dakota 12 outing on Friday, September 5. Tri-Valley will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 64-0 non-league win over Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Custer drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Lennox (Lennox, SD) to battle the Orioles in a non-league game on Friday, September 5. The Orioles enter the game with a record of 1-0. Lennox won 35-18 in their recent league game against Vermillion (Vermillion, SD)
