The McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) football tipped the visiting Davis Sr. Blue Devils (Davis, CA), 35-28 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Lions now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Denair for a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. McClatchy will clash with a Coyotes squad coming off a 47-17 non-league loss to Summerville (Tuolumne, CA). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Davis Sr. drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Johnson (Sacramento, CA) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5.
