The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA) and the host St. Augustine Saints (San Diego, CA), witnessed Del Norte's football squad edge St. Augustine by a count of 19-12.

The Nighthawks (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA). The Mavericks enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, La Costa Canyon nudged Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA), 45-13, in a non-league battle.

The Saints now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Helix for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. St. Augustine will encounter a Highlanders team coming off a 51-14 non-league loss to Casteel (Queen Creek, AZ). The Highlanders record now stands at 0-2.
