The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Dilley Wolves (Dilley, TX) and the host Sabinal Yellowjackets (Sabinal, TX), witnessed Dilley's football squad knock off Sabinal by a tally of 47-23.

The Wolves (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Comfort (Comfort, TX). The Bobcats/Deer enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Comfort gained a win over Brackett (Brackettville, TX), 43-19, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets encounter the Harper Longhorns (Harper, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 5. Sabinal will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 36-8 non-league win over D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX).
