Illinois High School Football - Downers Grove South beaten by Metea Valley

The Metea Valley Mustangs football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Downers Grove South Mustangs to 19 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Plainfield Central for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Metea Valley will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 21-18 non-league win over Waukegan (Waukegan, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Downers Grove South drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Trojans go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Downers Grove North won 11-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Morgan Park (Chicago, IL)
