The Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Mustangs football squad scored 38 points and limited the visiting Drumright Tornadoes to 6 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Cherokee Chiefs (Cherokee, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 5. Pioneer-Pleasant Vale will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Chiefs enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 64-60 non-league loss to Timberlake (Helena, OK).

The Tornadoes (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Garber (Garber, OK). The Wolverines enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Garber bounced Canton (Canton, OK), 48-0, in a non-league challenge.
