Alabama High School Football - Wilcox Academy can't hold off Fort Dale Academy

Fort Dale Academy Eagles (Greenville, AL) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the host Wilcox Academy Wildcats (Camden, AL), 17-16 in a non-league match.

The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Lowndes Academy (Lowndesboro, AL). The Rebels come into the AISA AAA Region 2 match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Lowndes Academy tipped Crenshaw Christian Academy (Luverne, AL), 41-14, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Patrician Academy Saints (Butler, AL) in a AISA AA Region 2 battle, on Friday, September 5. Wilcox Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Saints go into the battle with a 2-0 record after their 58-12 non-league win over Clarke Prep (Grove Hill, AL).
