Indiana High School Football - Mt. Vernon thwarted by Franklin Community

Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs (Franklin, IN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN), 27-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Franklin Community improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Grizzly Cubs travel to Perry Meridian (Indianapolis, IN) to meet the Falcons in a Mid-State match on Friday, September 5. The Falcons come into the match with a record of 1-1. Perry Meridian won 41-0 in their recent non-league match against Southport (Indianapolis, IN)

Coming up next, the Marauders meet the Greenfield-Central Cougars (Greenfield, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage match, on Friday, September 5. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Cougars go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 34-21 non-league win over Greensburg (Greensburg, IN).
