In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Glenbrook North Spartans football squad scored a good 21-13 triumph over the Lakes Eagles.
The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Grant Community (Fox Lake, IL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Grant Community prevailed over Mundelein (Mundelein, IL), 42-13, in a non-league battle.
The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Vernon Hills for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Lakes will play a Cougars team coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.
