In Friday's non-league match, the host Good Hope Raiders football squad scored a good 21-7 triumph over the West Point Warriors.
The Raiders (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Fultondale (Birmingham, AL). The Wildcats go into the 4A Region 5 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Fultondale was dropped by Center Point (Birmingham, AL), 46-27, in a non-league challenge.
The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Fairview (Cullman, AL). The Aggies go into the 5A Region 7 challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Fairview knocked off Springville (Springville, AL), 40-23, in a non-league test.
