Texas High School Football - Harlingen loses to Weslaco

Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX), 49-28 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Weslaco advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Panthers host McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 1-0. McAllen Memorial won 37-14 in their recent non-league battle against Hanna (Brownsville, TX)

The Cardinals now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Harlingen South for a non-league match on Friday, September 5. Harlingen will confront a Hawks squad coming off a 49-35 non-league loss to Rowe (McAllen, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.
