The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Highland Park Giants (Highland Park, IL) and the host Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL), witnessed Highland Park's football squad edge Leyden by a tally of 21-16.

The Giants (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Deerfield (Deerfield, IL). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Deerfield was tipped by Lake Forest (Lake Forest, IL), 30-0, in a non-league bout.
