In Friday's non-league match, the host Mildred Eagles football squad scored a close 21-20 triumph over the Iola Bulldogs.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Rice (Rice, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Rice was edged by A Plus Academy (Dallas, TX), 36-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Normangee was edged by Somerville (Somerville, TX), 34-18, in a non-league challenge.
