In Friday's league game, the Union Bears (Big Stone Gap, VA) football team triumphed over the host Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA), by a tally of 49-14.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Daniel Boone Trailblazers (Gray, TN) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 5. Union will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Trailblazers enter the outing with a 0-2 record after their 32-17 non-league loss to South Greene (Greeneville, TN).
