The Lincoln-Way East Griffins walloped the host Maine South Hawks football team by a score of 40-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Griffins play the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 5. Lincoln-Way East will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Kays go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 33-12 non-league loss to Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL).
With the defeat, Maine South drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Warren Township (Gurnee, IL) to meet the Blue Devils in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 1-0. Warren Township won 43-36 in their recent non-league test against Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL)
