Indiana High School Football - Merrillville can't hold off Loyola Academy

August 29, 2025: Merrillville, IN 46410

The Loyola Academy Ramblers held off the host Merrillville Pirates football squad by a count of 21-14 in Friday's non-league test.

The Ramblers now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Francis for a non-league test on Friday, September 12.

With the defeat, Merrillville drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Crown Point (Crown Point, IN) to meet the Bulldogs in a Duneland test on Friday, September 5. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 2-0. Crown Point won 21-0 in their recent non-league test against Pike (Indianapolis, IN)
