Iowa High School Football - Maquoketa Valley trounces Starmont

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Maquoketa Valley Wildcats football squad scored a decisive 33-0 victory over the Starmont Stars.

The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their match against North Linn (Troy Mills, IA). The Lynx enter the A District 4 match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, North Linn routed Hudson (Hudson, IA), 26-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Stars confront the St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA) in a A District 3 match, on Friday, September 5. Starmont will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Saints enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 59-14 non-league win over South Hamilton (Jewell, IA).
