The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) and the host Stillman Valley Cardinals (Stillman Valley, IL), witnessed Marengo's football squad wallop Stillman Valley by a tally of 42-7.

The Indians (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Peotone (Peotone, IL). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Peotone crushed Granite City (Granite City, IL), 48-7, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Cardinals battle the Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) in a Big Northern bout, on Friday, September 5. Stillman Valley will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Cogs go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 27-20 league loss to Oregon (Oregon, IL).
