The Marion Center Stingers football squad scored 42 points and limited the visiting Portage Mustangs to 20 in the Stingers league triumph on Friday.

The Stingers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Homer-Center for a Heritage test on Friday, September 5. Marion Center will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 23-15 league win over United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] (Nanty Glo, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA). The Blue Jays come into the Heritage test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Conemaugh Valley was defeated by Penns Manor (Clymer, PA), 55-6, in a league test.
